The Triathlon

Today Mark and some of our friends competed in a relay triathlon.  Mark was the running leg of the whole thing.  They did very well - 4th place!  Their overall time was 1:10.  Way to go guys!

Here is Mark before the race.

This is our friend Rex McGuire.  He swam the first leg.  He did awesome!  In the race they let the guys doing it individually start first and then a few minutes later started the relay guys.  Rex beat all but 4 of the individual guys!  What a speed racer!

This is our friend Mark Blinsmon, otherwise know as Mark B.  He biked the second leg.  In this picture he is just finishing his portion.  Go Mark Go!

And finally, my Mark is just starting his leg.  Look at that stride!  You can see Daddy Andreasen on the left side in blue cheering his son on.

My Mark finishing the race.  By this point it was getting quite hot and somewhere along the way Mark lost his shirt. :)  Mark did awesome!  He beat his best time!  Way to go Mark!

The amazing trio and their medallions!  Great Job!

The New House!

After being such an avid blogger, I have totally let it slip.  School started and with that came a lot less time to do such things.  We haven't done much worthy of the blog, but I did want to post pictures of our new house!  We moved August 16th into our new home.  The move itself went really quickly.  We had tons of help!  (one of the many perks of being a member of the church).  Overall, I think it took about 2 hours to get everything from one house to the other.  I pretty much did absolutely nothing - I was the director.  I pointed to where things went.  How demanding.  But, now we have the chore of unpacking and decorating, while teaching.  That is taking much longer.  We just barely got the internet today, a month later.  So we are obviously not in any hurry.  Without further ado - here is our house!

This is the front.  Isn't it just so cute?  Obviously the landscape needs a little work.  This is your average desert landscape though so we don't really stand out.

And just to prove it, here is one shot of our backyard.  You can see the picturesque Joshua Tree in the corner.  See, I told you this was real desert.

The Kitchen and part of the breakfast nook/dining area.  Soon I'll put up my red curtains.  Something not green! (you'll see)

The guest bathroom.  That's right, we have two bathrooms now!  YAY!!  Mark wouldn't let me decorate with pink or purple - so like everything else in our house, it contains green.

One angle of the living area.  Mark is hoping that soon, that small TV will be replaced with a large plasma.  We'll see.

Another angle - with my baby, the piano.

And another angle.  See the green.  There will be green curtains soon.  And our bedroom is green.  Everything is green.

And this is what the rest of our house looks like.  I will post more pictures when we unpack more.
We are really enjoying our first house, the extra space, indoor laundry room, garage, extra bathroom, and everything else a new house brings.  Now we just have to fill it up :)
