Christmas Part 2

What's better than one Christmas? Two Christmases!! Christmas night Grandma and Papa Lerman came to visit for a few days. The next day we had another Christmas with more presents and more fun!

Thanks to Grandma Lerman, Clara just might end up liking dolls after all. 

 One of her new babies is officially invited into the crib club and Clara must have her in bed with her!

 Tyler was in puzzle, book heaven!

 This is later, but the next day Tyler was really eager for grandma to wake up and sat in front of her door for a while. It was pretty cute!

Christmas Morning

Finally the big day arrived! Tyler was so excited to see what Santa Claus had brought! Following in my family's footsteps Tyler, Clara, and mommy waited in mommy and daddy's room while daddy went out to turn on the lights and make sure Santa had come. While we waited I took some pictures of the super excited kids.

Thank you Grandma and Papa Wettlaufer for my cute jammies (and mommy and daddy's awesome jammy pants and I bet Clara will like hers too when they fit!)

Finally daddy called for us! I think I was just as excited as the kids. I couldn't wait to see their faces. You may recall that Tyler wanted a Lightning McQueen Race Car he could drive. Santa did his best, but I'm pretty sure Tyler excused the small differences as he slid behind the wheel.

 Obviously the car was a big hit all around and Clara insisted on going through her stocking seated in the driver's seat.

It took some persuading, but eventually we moved onto the presents under the tree.

Mommy and daddy forgot Santa Claus had left one present in the bathroom: Tyler's very own fish!

 When I asked Tyler what his fish's name was he said, "Beta Fish." Pretty original.

 And following an Andreasen tradition, Santa brought everyone's favorite cereals.

 Grandma and Papa Wettlaufer sent us this awesome table. Just the right size!

Later that day, Mark's family came over for a scrumptious Christmas dinner. We got to skype Nolan (Mark's bro on a mission) and had good family time. I didn't take any pictures, but Grandma and Papa Andreasen got the kids a real looking shopping cart and a basketball hoop! (and they helped Santa a bit with the truck!) Can I say my kids are spoiled or what!? Thank you everyone for making our Christmas so wonderful!

Pre-Christmas

Christmas is so much fun with little kids! Especially now that Tyler is really starting to understand. They have such great things now to get kids excited - you can call Santa from your phone, track him online, have Santa send a personal video to your child, all sorts of things. Tyler couldn't get enough of Christmas this year and Santa. Ever since earlier this past summer he's been waiting for him and has known exactly what he wanted. Every time he called Santa he asked for a Lightning McQueen Race Car that he could drive. Pretty steep demands there for a 3 year old! We filled our month with looking at lights, Christmas crafts, fun with friends, a few sicknesses, and a few FHE's on Baby Jesus. It was such a great month (minus the sickness part)! 

Grandma and Papa Wettlaufer sent us this fun Little People Nativity set. They loved it!

 We went with some friends to a place called Thoroughbred Lane to look at some amazing lights! 

 We counted and this house had over 10 planes of some sort. Tyler had to be dragged away!

 One of our crafts: Making popcicle stick Christmas trees.

 Tyler went with daddy to pick out our very own Christmas tree from a Christmas tree lot. The kids loved decorating (and redecorating a million times) the tree!

 We had some friends over to decorate waffle cone Christmas trees.

 Christmas Eve was spent with wonderful friends eating, talking, laughing, and learning about the Nativity! The kids kicked off the festivities with a scavenger hunt.

Tyler learned Jingle Bells and went through various stages of Jingle Bell competency. I should have 3 videos on here as by Christmas he could successfully sing Jingle Bells all the way through correctly, but here are the first two.
