Boy or Girl?

Even though I do have a baby blog, I believe most people actually look at this one. And really, the baby blog is more of a journal for my sake and not always that interesting, but anyway . . .

We are finding out this baby's gender in one week! I can't believe how fast time has gone with this pregnancy. Maybe it's because I am already preoccupied with my other baby :) We are so excited to see what this baby is. Mark thinks it's a girl, but I think it's another boy. So we are split there. I just wanted to see what everyone else thought so I posted a little poll. Last time, if I remember right, the majority was right. So, go vote!

Tyler's Newest Skills!

I just have to document this for memory sake. Tyler, although fairly nonverbal as of yet, is getting really good at understanding what we say. For example if we say, "Tyler, do you want a bottle?" He walks into the kitchen, up to the cupboard where his bottles are kept, and reaches as high as he can to try and reach the bottles. He does the same thing if we ask him if he's hungry, but he'll go to the pantry or his high chair. It's pretty cute. Or, if we say, "Tyler, where's your woobie (or binkie)?" He looks around until he finds it. And again, if we say, "Tyler, want to go outside?" He'll walk to the door. Sometimes he'll even get his coat. That is almost my favorite one. However, tonight I saw perhaps the cutest one so far. We read our scriptures, said our prayers (which he will now fold his arms during for at least 5 seconds. That's a long time in baby time), then said, "Tyler, night night?" And, get this, Tyler picked up his woobie, walked down the hall, into his bedroom, and up to his crib! WHAT? Mark and I were speechless. I claimed it was my good parenting skills, Mark claimed it was his, but obviously it was mine... haha just kidding. Whatever it was, it was awesome and I can only hope he continues to go to bed so well!

Christmas 2010

This year we spent Christmas in Utah with part of my family. We have to wait until later this month to see my mom. We had a great time with everyone and Tyler was SPOILED! He is still adjusting to not having someone or multiple someones vying for his attention every possible second of the day. So without further ado here are a vast amount of Christmas pictures.

Getting ready to go outside in the snow! Tyler's first experience with snow.
Not sure how he feels about this.

It's hard taking pictures of a moving toddler!

My Californian husband playing in the snow in shorts and a t-shirt.

What is this stuff?

Not quite sure if he's happy or not in this picture.
Snow ball fight with the aunties.
Going back inside.
Tyler loves his grandpa!

Video #1: Tyler in the snow.
Video #2 and #3: Tyler opening presents. He's still learning the "opening" part of the present.

Makeshift Family Photos

I have the best of intentions to get real professional family photos taken, but I am also the world's greatest procrastinator so so far we have had none taken. However, my mom called a few weeks ago demanding a family photo for her Christmas card. I told her it was on my to do list. Her rebuttal: I needed to send her one by noon that day or risk forever being left out of the family Christmas card! So Mark set up a makeshift photo studio in our family room. They turned out pretty good, even if my hair is still wet and Tyler has no socks or shoes on.
