Catch Up

Our Summer has been awesome! These are just a few pictures that didn't fit into any specific trip.

Back in May we went to a Mavericks baseball game with some friends. It was....thrilling.... The best parts were probably the hot dogs and cotton candy.

 Cute Clara Cowgirl
Flying a kite around here is rough. We have wind - oh boy do we have wind - but it's not steady enough. We mostly just have big gusts every few minutes. One day at papa and grandma's house Tyler was finally able to get a kite up for a minute!
Tyler also managed to kill one of his front teeth. He jumped up and hit it on the counter. It's the grayish one. Luckily it hasn't gotten much darker so you can hardly tell, unless you're looking for it. Our only option is to wait for it to fall out, so he'll have that tooth for a while.
We've had a lot of fun playdates at the local lake. The kids love it!
Tyler, Siena, Harlee, and Clara were all playing and Siena told Tyler he had to pick which one of them he was going to marry. He looked around and said, "Um, I pick all of you!" Siena said, "YOU CAN'T DO THAT! You can only pick one!" Wisely, Tyler picked Siena and they became king and queen. I kinda love that Tyler's king crown is pink and they are sitting in their little thrones. That's what you get when you play with girls!
Mark took Tyler to his first Father/Son Campout. It was only after they got home that I heard about the rattle snake that was hanging around where all the boys were playing!!! Since there were no women there, the dads started poking it with a stick and throwing rocks at it.... seriously. Luckily, it was a pretty calm snake and just slithered away.

For Father's Day we made Mark this cars map t-shirt for back rubs.
Tyler and Clara just playing on a tractor left hanging out in the desert field behind our house.
First ever face painting! They CAN hold still!

At some point in June our beloved vacuum bit the dust. We had to bring it to a repair shop in Barstow. After a month or more of waiting we finally were told they couldn't fix it. The good news was that we got a brand new vacuum for free! Ok anyway, while we were in Barstow Mark showed us his old stomping grounds.
This is a "park" that has a bunch of old things to climb on. Like this old mining cart....
 and this old caboose....

 and this old tank.

Mark reroofed his parent's shed in June and Tyler LOVED helping!
Just a funny picture of Clara falling asleep on the back of the couch like a cat.
A very short video of Tyler flying a kite.
